Mark Kneebone
Presdient – Tardus Music (New Zealand)
Mark has dedicated his professional career to the growth of independent music in New Zealand. From 1999 to 2002 Mark held the role of Promotions and International Label Manager for Kog Transmissions, then New Zealand’s leading independent record label.
In 2002, seeing a niche in the market, Mark formed marketing, publicity and promotions company Isaac Promotions. Isaac became a way for New Zealand artists to receive the full spectrum of media support usually reserved for signed acts, plus provided smaller labels with a ready made promotional manager, on a project by project basis. Services later came to include pairing International labels to New Zealand distributors and brokering licensing deals for NZ acts into other territories.
Parallel to Isaac Promotions, Kneebone also founded record label Tardus Music, which continues to flourish and boasts a quality roster of diverse talent.
He is the current chairperson of Independent Music New Zealand.
