How to join

Any independent master rights owner or representative can apply to join Merlin if it fulfils the Merlin Membership Criteria.

In order to apply to join Merlin please email info@merlinnetwork.org requesting a Membership Application Pack.

Please note that in order to complete an application to join Merlin you will need to supply:

• Audio Metadata
• Video Metadata (if applicable)
  
• US Sound Recording Copyright registration information (if available)
• Details on your existing digital distribution arrangements (if any)
• Details on your delivery arrangements for digital content
• List of your top selling tracks

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Based upon information provided as above, we categorise our members as per the following Merlin Membership Categories:

• Category 1 Members - labels or distributors, which control their own digital rights and are able to participate in all Merlin's activities.

• Category 2 Members – labels or distributors which have granted ongoing licensing rights to non-Merlin member companies or distributors, but which may still be able to participate in our anti-piracy activities.
