Bob Frank serves as President of KOCH Records and KOCH Music Publishing, the content divisions of the largest independent music company in North America, KOCH Entertainment.
Frank, 41, was responsible for coordinating the KOCH acquisition of the Velvel Music Group that resulted in the founding of KOCH Entertainment in June of 1999 with company Chairman and CEO Michael Koch. In 2004, KOCH Entertainment changed its moniker to KOCH Records.
Prior to this current position, Frank was President of the Velvel Music Group from its inception in 1997 through the creation of KOCH Entertainment in 1999. Before joining Velvel, he spent the previous eight years with PolyGram Records, primarily at Mercury Records Nashville, where he was General Manager/Senior Vice President under President Luke Lewis.
Frank has a BS Degree in Economics from St. John’s University and an MBA in Management from the New York Institute of Technology. In 2006 Frank was named as one of the most influential executives in hip-hop music in the “Power 30” issue of Source magazine.
Frank is an active participant in the A2IM Organization which serves the interests of the independent label community in the U.S. He serves as Chairman of the International Committee.
