Glenn Dicker, Co-Owner Redeye Incorporated (Redeye Distribution, Yep Roc Music Group), Riff City Sounds Publishing, Haw River, NC
Glenn Dicker was born on October 21, 1965 and grew up in Doylestown, PA outside of Philadelphia. He attended Gettysburg College and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Sociology.
In 1988, he moved to the Boston area and worked for Rounder Distribution, first in the warehouse and eventually as a buyer. He then moved over to the record label doing promotion and publicity.
In 1994, Dicker started a record label with two other Rounder employees called Upstart Records which released albums by Nick Lowe, Los Straitjackets and others. His primary role was A&R and promotions.
In 1997, Dicker moved to North Carolina with his wife and 2 children to become partners with Tor Hansen in Redeye Incorporated. Redeye’s distribution arm is the exclusive distributor for labels including Daptone, Barsuk, Warp, and Kill Rock Stars. Distribution includes physical, digital and direct services internationally. Redeye is the 2nd largest independent distributor in the U.S. and has won several Distributor of the Year awards from NARM.
The Yep Roc Music Group, also part of Redeye, includes Yep Roc and Bella Union in North America. Yep Roc is the in-house label which is home to Nick Lowe, Liam Finn, Reverend Horton Heat, Dave Alvin, John Doe, Jukebox The Ghost, Gang Of Four and many others.
Additionally, Dicker and Hansen have a publishing company called Riff City Sounds. Dicker is currently on the board of NARM.
