Florian Von Hoyer

CEO and Director, Altafonte – Spain

Florian von Hoyer is CEO & Director of Altafonte, the main distributor for Spanish independent labels. The combined distribution services for both physical and digital formats has made Altafonte a reliable partner for succesful Spanish independent labels as Boa, Mushroom Pillow, Elefant Records, Globomedia Musica, Subterfuge or Avispa.

As board member of the Spanish independent trade association UFi since its foundation in 2003, Florian von Hoyer is the association’s representative before WIN.

Merlin Board Member since october 2009, Florian regularly attends Conferences and Trade Fairs such as MIDEM, WOMEX, Popkomm, Babel Med (France), Vic (Barcelona), BAFIM (Buenos Aires), LAMC (New York) or SXSW (Austin/US) and has participated in conferences and special commercial missions organized by the Spanish Ministry of Trade (Beijing/China in 2008).

As CEO and co-founder of Galileo MC he was one of the first to sign MERLIN membership on behalf of a Spanish independent label. Since the restructuring of Galileo MC in 2010 he continues to run his own label Ojo Música.

Florian was born in München (Germany) in 1972, has lived in Montevideo and Buenos Aires, and since 2001 is established in Madrid.
